The Kuwait eVisa is an electronic travel authorization, which passengers can obtain through an online application. Travelers visiting the country can complete the Kuwait online visa application to enter and travel around the country. The eVisa Kuwait system was created to simplify the visa application process, making it easier and faster for visitors to apply.
How to Apply for a Kuwait eVisa
Those eligible to apply for an eVisa are required to complete the online visa application form by entering their personal information, including the following:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Address
- Passport number
The information provided must be accurate and applicants need to have a passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the arrival date.
The Kuwait online visa is a single-entry visa that allows travelers to enter Kuwait for touristic purposes for a maximum stay of ninety (90) days. Visitors cannot use the visa to enter Kuwait more than once. When the period of validity has passed, the eVisa becomes invalid and can no longer be used to enter Kuwait.
Once the applicant has submitted their online application, all eVisa notifications and updates are sent via email.
Kuwait eVisa Entry Requirements
To be eligible to apply for a Kuwait eVisa, applicants are required to be a citizen of one of the eligible countries listed below.
Permanent residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE) can also obtain a visa online. GCC nationals can enter Kuwait visa-free.
To complete the eVisa for Kuwait online application, candidates must have a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining from the date of arrival and a valid email address.
Those residing in GCC countries may also be required to provide a digital copy of their GCC residency document. However, the applicant can submit this information at a later date as it does not need to be provided at the time of application.
Arriving in Kuwait with an eVisa
Once a Kuwait online visa application has been approved, the eVisa is sent to the applicant by email.
Upon arrival in Kuwait, eVisa holders are required to present their Kuwait eVisa and their passport to the border authorities. Travelers should keep a printed copy of their eVisa on their person at all times during their stay.
GCC residents entering Kuwait with an eVisa may be asked to show their GCC residence document on arrival.
An additional visa fee of 3 Kuwaiti Dinar (3 KD; approximately 10 USD) may apply at the border entry point.

Regardless of your nationality, if you reside in a GCC country, you are eligible to apply for a travel eVisa to Kuwait. You must hold a residency permit in order to be able to get your eVisa and it must be valid for at least 6 more months on the day of your arrival in Kuwait.
This includes citizens of the following 3 countries, who are usually ineligible for the Kuwait eVisa, but may apply if they are residents of a GCC member state.
